When I saw GBV at Sasquatch, robert pollard made fun of some bands that had played earlier. He was pretty spot on, I think it was like The Old 97s or some really shitty shitty “indie” band like that. I will never forget that and be happier that one of my heroes felt the same way about Sasquatch’s main stage choices last year.
Motor Away was the first song I listened to when I first got settled into my dorm the first day as well. It’s so simple and poppy, but so emotionally withdrawn and somber.
